So now the new and the real work begins.

Somebody new and somebody good.

'Cause he's fresh and Australia needs a new change.

This election is about the future.

I've never known anyone who works as hard as Kevin Rudd.

I like Julia Gillard, I think she's great.

My plan for Australia is for the next 10 years, not the next 10 weeks.

We want to invest in an education revolution.

I have a goal for us to be the best educated country, with the best trained workforce in the world.

Invest in a high-speed broadband network.

I want to ensure that we've got a strong foundation, like technology, like broadband, that's going to take us to the next level and build a strong future for my children.

This is the toolbox of the 21st Century.

Oh, he's a wonderful father.

I will act on the childcare affordability crisis.

So he seems more in touch with the family.

To be fair dinkum on climate change, you've got to ratify Kyoto, and you've got to have a carbon target – and invest also to make sure that we are dealing with the critical challenges of climate change and water.

I'd like to congratulate Kevin Rudd for holding Australia's very first climate change summit.

And I will implement an exit strategy for our combat forces from Iraq.

Australians just want our health system fixed.

We've committed $2 billion to reducing waiting lists, free up hospital beds and upgrade emergency care.

Under my plan, the buck will stop with me.

I'm determined to get the balance right.

I want there to be a long-term manufacturing industry for this nation.

That's why I'm an economic conservative, committed to budget surpluses, and to the independence of the Reserve Bank, and to keeping downward pressure on inflation and interest rates.

Australian working families don't expect a free ride, but they do want a fair go.

But I'll do whatever I can to reduce the strain on household budgets.

This is really important stuff for working families.

Here's a man who, at long last, is talking our language.

Kevin, speaking Mandarin at September's APEC luncheon.

Well, I think he's genuine, honest.

Kevin's going to make a wonderful prime minister.

I think he's the real deal.

I think he'll make an excellent prime minister.

Very honest sort of a guy.

I think he seems a good fella.

Very refreshing.

Kevin's the new Australia, I reckon.
