National Indigenous Labor Network

The National Indigenous Labor Network is a National Committee of the ALP established under the National Constitution. It aims to:

  • attract and support Indigenous ALP members
  • increase the involvement of Indigenous people at all levels of the ALP
  • provide a focus for the identification, training and support of Indigenous candidates
  • increase awareness of Indigenous issues throughout the ALP
  • increase commitment of Party members to greater representation of Indigenous people throughout the Party
  • encourage the employment of Indigenous people in staff and Party positions

The NILN operates as a National Committee of the ALP and is headed by a Convenor, Senior Deputy Convenor and Junior Deputy Convenor:

Senior Deputy: Isabel Tarrago
Junior Deputy: Chris Bourke
